Fall Layers

 J. Crew, Target / Bottom: AG Jeans / Booties: Target

Henry: Top: Janie and Jack {similar} / Bottoms: Target

Last year during this time we were in North Carolina waiting for Henry to arrive and fall was in full force. Since were in Florida this year, we have defiantly been missing the change in seasons, but this week it has finally started to feel like fall! I layered up with a gingham shirt from J. Crew {the ‘boy shirt’ is my favorite style} and this super soft long sleeve tee from Target. We all know Target is amazing, but I was especially surprised when I went in {for one thing of course} and came out with a new shirt and booties for me, and a pair of pants for Henry. I bought them thinking we’d wear them when we were back in NC, but mother nature surprised me and I’m not mad about it! My booties come in two colors and when I got them they were on sale for $28, how could I resist?!

Since this will be Henry’s first Halloween, we’re getting ready to carve pumpkins tonight and taking him trick-or-treating on Tuesday. He’ll be the cutest pumpkin in the neighborhood!

Pumpkin Picking

 J. Crew {on sale!} / Denim:AG Jeans Henry’s Costume: Pottery Barn Kids / Onesie: Carter’s {similar}

We made a visit to our local pumpkin patch this past weekend and had so much fun exploring the grounds at Hunsader Farms. Henry loved crawling through the rows of pumpkins and banging on them like drums! I brought along his Halloween costume and we took some of the cutest photos. I got Henry’s costume from Pottery Barn Kids but they have so many cute options it was hard to decide. We went with a pumpkin because, well… who doesn’t love a chunky baby dressed up like a pumpkin?! Whats your favorite Fall tradition and have you picked out your pumpkin yet?!

It’s Friday everyone! I thought I’d share an Instagram round up of things I’ve been loving lately. It finally started to cool off in North Carolina the past few weeks, which makes decorating and dressing for Fall much more enjoyable! We paid a visit to our local pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect one {or two dozen..whoops!} and loved dressing up our front porch. I am in love with these front door wreaths from Genevieve Designs and she’s created the best fall bows for them! All her wreaths are interchangeable which makes them the perfect year round accessory for your home {you can see the one I use for spring and summer here} I’m also loving this gingham iPhone case from J. Crew. It’s on sale for less than $10 plus they’re taking an additional 30% off sale making it under $7! Perfect for turning your phone festive for the holidays {and doubles as a great stocking stuffer!} Being 9months pregnant makes getting dressed in the morning a not so fun event, but one thing I haven’t outgrown are these sunnies from Prada, I love the shape and tortoiseshell coloring. They’re not super expensive {although not cheap} but they will defiantly take you through every season. I had my last pair of sunglasses for over 6years {too long?} and am a big fan of finding classic pieces you’ll have forever- you can bet these new ones will be in my wardrobe for a while to come!

The Cable Knit Sweater

Chicwish / Denim: J. Crew / Handbag: Louis Vuitton / Watch: MICHELE / Boots: Tory Burch

I have been living in military and hunter green this Fall! I can’t get enough of the color and this cozy cable knit sweater from Chicwish is everything. I paired mine with Tory Burch’s Junction Riding Boot and a dark wash denim. I also love this sweater with leggings and smoking slippers to give it a “menswear” flare. You can’t go wrong with a chunky sweater this season and if you’ve been searching for “the one” Chicwish has a ton at great prices. You can shop my look below and everything I’m wearing {bootsdenim and sweater} are all on sale!

We all love a good blanket scarf and this one is no exception! There are tons of options out there for finding great scarves, but I really love Etsy. There are so many to choose from and theres just something about supporting a small business that makes me happy! My look is perfect for this Florida Fall and by wearing a LBD and classic pumps, I instantly dressed it up. Happy Monday!

Back to Blogging

Dress: ChicWish / Boots: Tory Burch

It’s been a crazy week, but I am so happy to be settled in our new home and back to blogging again! My husband and I were so overwhelmed with the amount of work and energy this move required that we took Friday off from home improvements and headed to Pensacola Beach for a much needed date night. It was just what we needed and I had an excuse to put on real clothes for once! My dress is from ChicWish and its on sale for less than $37 {true to size, I’m wearing s/m} Tory Burch has my favorite boots for Fall and these are the Junction Riding Boot. They come in both Black and Almond and even in extended calf sizes. I’ve linked similar dresses below along with my favorite Calypso dress {if you want to splurge!}

Fall Stripes

similar} / Bottoms: Lilly Pulitzer {similar} / Glasses: Oliver Peoples / Watch: MICHELE {faceband} / Necklace: Target {similar} / Boots: Tory Burch

I love stripes and they’re not just a summer staple. Even though it’s fall you can still incorporate them into your wardrobe and I’m sharing a few tips that’ll help you! Look for darker and heathered stripe combos along with warmer textiles. Merino Wool is perfect for the colder months and you can never go wrong with cashmere. Although these will be a bit more expensive and dry clean only, they’re totally worth it giving you seasons and seasons of wear. You can never go wrong with a navy and white stripe, but don’t be afraid to try tops with unique color combinations too. Blue & orange, green & black, navy & black, red & green, these are all great color combos that’ll take you from fall to winter and stay in style for a while!

Recovering from a not so fun eye infection so I’m rocking my favorite glasses from Oliver Peoples for the next week or so! I also started to pull out the rest of my fall sweaters and had to share a staple thats been in my closet forever. The Tippi Sweater is amazing {I even wear them in the summer} and is perfect for transiting {in case you’re still stuck in the heat} or for layering in cooler weather. You can’t go wrong with an oxford from Ralph Lauren and the Worth Skinny Jean from Lilly Pulitzer {this sateen pant is where its at!}

The Quilted Excursion Vest

Vest: J. Crew / Top: J. Crew / Denim: Madewell / Bag: Louis Vuitton / Booties: J. Crew

We’ve all been waiting for sweater weather, boots and that time of year where layering is our best friend and it’s officially here! So cue pumpkin everything and put away your summer wardrobe because Fall is in the air. I had been searching for a green vest since last season but couldn’t find the exact color until I saw J. Crew’s Quilted Excursion Vest in Irish Moss. I’ve been a fan of their vests since the beginning of time and this year they continued my love affair. The Excursion Vest comes in seven colors {you’ll want them all} and also in petite sizes. I’m wearing an x-small {regular} and it gives me just enough room to layer with thin cotton tops like this one or with chunky sweaters too. It’s down filled and machine washable {amazing right?!} but just hang to dry. I paired my look with Madewell’s High Riser Denim {my new favorite jean} and these amazing ankle booties {also from J. Crew, two colors} which I’ll be repeating all season. Get my vest and the booties at 25% off with code SHOPFALL {here and here} plus, shop my look and see other excursion vests I’m loving below!
