The Eyelet Dress

 Three Dots ℅ Bluetique / Necklace: Vintage Green ℅ bluetique {similar} / Watch: MICHELE / Pumps: Louboutin

An eyelet dress is what Summer is all about and Three Dots has my favorite! It’s breezy in cotton {perfect for warm days!} and just casual enough to still look amazing with pumps, and cute sandals. I added a statement necklace from Vintage Green to dress up my shift just a little and it was exactly what my outfit needed! Vintage Green is an Atlanta based company {and Auburn grad, War Eagle!} who makes some stunning pieces! Check out their website and you won’t be disappointed.

I also wanted to just take a quick sec and thank you all for your kind words and congratulations on our pregnancy! We are beyond excited, it’s our first! You’ve probably noticed some missed posts {I try for Monday, Wednesday, Friday} and quieter Instagraming these past few months, but now that I am into my second trimester, I’m feeling more energetic every day. I may be looking different over the next few months {gotta love that baby bump!} but I hope to find clothing that is current and non maternity to keep my content relevant and full of what you love!

Thank you so much for all your support and I’d love any feedback on becoming a new mom!

Oh Baby!

Instagram you saw our big news this weekend! We are so excited to be expecting and can’t wait to meet Baby A in November! I wanted a fun announcement, but also one I hadn’t seen on social media before, so I enlisted a friend and she helped me find this adorable idea on Pinterest! Im sharing how I made our jumbo letter balloons below!

Sketch out whatever phrase you want your balloons to say on the card stock paper. I freehanded ours, but if you want a more refined look, you can enlarge a typeface on your computer and print out the phrase to use.

Cut out your letters!

Fold the “extra” rectangle section of the letters.

If you want your balloons to float on their own, make sure your local party store fills them up with helium before you leave. It’s an extra charge, but not expensive at all.

Once your letters are taped, ensure your fold is sharp {the sharper your fold, the easier they’ll stand} If you find your letters are flopping forward, you can add tape closer to the fold to help them perk up. Thats it! This super easy and inexpensive project is so fun and can be used for any type of event!

The Valli Dress

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer ℅ Bluetique / Clutch: Kelly Wynne ℅ Bluetique {similar} / Pumps: Louboutin

Rain or shine, a Lilly shift will always make your day brighter! I love the Valli dress and it comes in so many different print/color options! The Navy one is also to die for, but I just couldn’t pass up a classic toile print from Lilly {it’s called La Via Loca} It fits beautifully and is perfect for any Summer party or wedding you may have coming up. Villa is true to size and cotton, which makes it ideal for warmer weather! Don’t miss out on this one ladies, it’ll sell out quick for sure. I added a fun clutch from Kelly Wynne {comes in four prints!} and my look is complete!

The Linen Shirt

similar} / Denim: J. Crew / Necklace: BaubleBar {similar} Bag: Kelly Wynne ℅ Bluetique {similar} / Flats: Tory Burch / Watch: MICHELE

Who doesn’t love a great linen shirt?! This one from Island Company {similar linked below} is my all time favorite. It’s super light weight, washable, and the light chambray is perfect for Spring and Summer. If you aren’t looking to add chambray to your closet this season, my shirt also comes in three other colors {white, coral and gray} I added a small pop of color with a leather tassel necklace and a statement bag from Kelly Wynne {my exact one can’t be linked, but you can find it on her website here, I’ve also linked a similar less expensive version below} and a simple flat makes my outfit perfect for running around town or lunch with girlfriends!

Happy Monday y’all!

Road Trip!

J. Crew / Poncho: Lilly Pulitzer / Shorts: J. Crew / Boots: Hunter / Luggage: Louis Vuitton / Lips: NARS

We’re headed across the state to visit friends this weekend and layers will be my bestie since it’s been cool at night and warmer during the day. My Harp Wrap is the perfect travel companion {other than my husband}. She packs flat and even unbuttons for more coverage {or to use as a mini blanket- it’s happened} My striped one is past season, but I’ve linked other colors below! Wellingtons are great for the outdoors and I recommend Hunter Boots {I’ve tried several other brands, and you can’t beat the quality for the price} but they can be a pain to pack in an overnight bag or carryon. Wear them while you’re traveling – they slip off easy at the airport and are pretty comfy for a car ride. Plus, that’s more room in your bag for other fun things! You can check out other ways I’ve styled Hunter’s here.

The Basic Button Down

J. Crew / Skirt: J. Crew {similar} / Necklace: J. Crew / Watch: Michele / Heels: Steve Madden

We all have a basic button-down strip shirt in our closet {if you don’t, you need this one} so I’m sharing a classic twist on how to style it! Mine is from J. Crew and I love it’s structured look with the concealed buttons and stiff collar. I updated it by adding a laser cut midi skirt {mine is sold out but I’ve linked similar ones below} and classic accessories to keep it sophisticated and current! My top is 40% off right now at J. Crew so make sure to snag yours before they sell out!

I’m throwing it back this week with some of my favorite looks on Louis & Louis! Now that it’s spring it’s the perfect time to break out your whites and start getting “Nauti” in preparation for summer! I just love this J. McLaughlin top with it’s nautical rope detail {same style here} and my Bourbon & Boweties bangles add a statement to this simple outfit. My flats are from target and the striped pattern complete my seaside look! I’ve linked my whole outfit below {top is in link only} but don’t miss out on these flats – seriously they’re perfect for Spring & Summer!

Gingham Glory

J. Crew / Top: Ralph Lauren / Denim: Madewell {same style} / Flats: Chanel {similar}

J. Crew has done it again with the Campbell blazer and it’s everything. I love the blue gingham {it also comes in pink} and I’ve had it on repeat all weekend, I just can’t get enough of it! It dresses up so easily but I love it with a good pair of denim. I wore a classic white oxford under my blazer to really show off the gingham and completed my outfit with a two toned flat {similar and less expensive style here!}
