Arezzo

Buongiorno! What better way to end your week than with a little peak into Tuscany?!

We traveled to Arezzo one morning for their famous antiques market. It happens the first Sunday of every month and started in 1968. Over 500 vendors spread out for the two day event and you can find anything from vintage Chanel bags to a wooden Pinocchio {like the one my husband wanted to go home with above!} There’s also amazing glasswork, lace, silver and art for sale but going to the market knowledgable is a must! There are so may stalls it can be a bit over whelming, and knowing the quality and authenticity of products will insure you’re going home with something of value. It was an amazing sight to see and the city of Arezzo was gorgeous all in it’s own. Over looking the beautiful Tuscan country side and strolling through the ancient streets of Arezzo might have been one of my favorite days!

While we were visiting, the Saracen Joust took place. It only happens twice a year {once in June, the other in September} and we were truly surprised! There are four teams in the event, each one representing the different quarters of Arezzo. The tournament rules have been unchanged since 1677 and the event begins with a parade of the four teams through the Piazza Grande. Check out what I wore for our day in Arezzo here!
