Fall Stripes

I love stripes and they’re not just a summer staple. Even though it’s fall you can still incorporate them into your wardrobe and I’m sharing a few tips that’ll help you! Look for darker and heathered stripe combos along with warmer textiles. Merino Wool is perfect for the colder months and you can never go wrong with cashmere. Although these will be a bit more expensive and dry clean only, they’re totally worth it giving you seasons and seasons of wear. You can never go wrong with a navy and white stripe, but don’t be afraid to try tops with unique color combinations too. Blue & orange, green & black, navy & black, red & green, these are all great color combos that’ll take you from fall to winter and stay in style for a while!

Sweater: J. Crew / Top: Ralph Lauren / Bottoms: Lilly Pulitzer / Glasses: Oliver Peoples / Necklace: Kendra Scott / Watch: MICHELE {faceband} / Booties: J. Crew

Recovering from a not so fun eye infection so I’m rocking my favorite glasses from Oliver Peoples for the next week or so! I also started to pull out the rest of my fall sweaters and had to share a staple thats been in my closet forever. The Tippi Sweater is amazing {I even wear them in the summer} and is perfect for transiting {in case you’re still stuck in the heat} or for layering in cooler weather. You can’t go wrong with an oxford from Ralph Lauren and the Worth Skinny Jean from Lilly Pulitzer {this sateen pant is where its at!}

The Quilted Excursion Vest

Vest: J. Crew / Top: J. Crew / Denim: Madewell / Bag: Louis Vuitton / Booties: J. Crew

We’ve all been waiting for sweater weather, boots and that time of year where layering is our best friend and it’s officially here! So cue pumpkin everything and put away your summer wardrobe because Fall is in the air. I had been searching for a green vest since last season but couldn’t find the exact color until I saw J. Crew’s Quilted Excursion Vest in Irish Moss. I’ve been a fan of their vests since the beginning of time and this year they continued my love affair. The Excursion Vest comes in seven colors {you’ll want them all} and also in petite sizes. I’m wearing an x-small {regular} and it gives me just enough room to layer with thin cotton tops like this one or with chunky sweaters too. It’s down filled and machine washable {amazing right?!} but just hang to dry. I paired my look with Madewell’s High Riser Denim {my new favorite jean} and these amazing ankle booties {also from J. Crew, two colors} which I’ll be repeating all season. Get my vest and the booties at 25% off with code SHOPFALL {here and here} plus, shop my look and see other excursion vests I’m loving below!

The Blanket Scarf

similar} / Denim: J. Crew/ Scarf: Zara {similar} / Boots: Tory Burch

We all fell in love with Zara’s plaid blanket scarf last season and the trend hasn’t been forgotten. The oversized scarf is über comfy and warm, easy to style and doubles as a blanket for your impromptu picnics {just kidding}. Zara’s scarf sold out quickly last season, but similar plaids have been popping up on sites like Etsy and Ebay but you can find one almost identical to mine here. I also linked some of my favorite ones for the season below! Don’t forget to check out J. Crew for fall sweaters and my jeans. Use code TIMETOSHOP for 25% your order!

Clutches & Curves

similar} / Denim: Madewell / Belt: J. Crew / Watch: MICHELE / Clutch: Custom {similar}/ Heels: Steve Madden

If there’s one thing you need to purchase when building a base wardrobe, it should be a pair of high rise denim. I’ve always worn my bottoms just above my hip but fell in love with Madewell’s High Riser denim and haven’t looked back. They show off my curves in the best way and fit me perfectly {I literally wore them out of the store!} and if you’ve seen Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants you know what feeling I’m talking about. I styled them here with a basic untucked white tee {you can’t even tell they’re high risers!} but wanted to really show off their perfection for our last dinner in Italy. I tucked in a swing sweater from J. Crew {mine is past season} added a belt and made sure to elongate my legs even more by wearing heels. I’m 5’2″ and these jeans make me feel and look like I have legs for days!

My clutch is real Ostrich skin and was custom made from a leather shop in Florence. It is my favorite souvenir from the trip {besides the wine of course!} and I’ve linked similar styles below {both real and embossed} along with other swing sweaters too.

Fresh off our trip to Italy and I’m already reliving it through our pictures! Rome was our first stop where we adjusted to the time change and spent two full days getting to know this beautiful city. We woke up super early {5am!} and were ready to go making it out of our hotel and to the Spanish Steps by 7:30am. We meet up with the rest of our family and hopped on our golf cart tour with My Best Tour.  We decided on this unique option because of the variety of people we had in our group. It’s perfect for all ages and ended up being the best part of our time in Rome. You’re able to get around the city quickly and see some amazing sights not accessible or viewable by foot or car. We enjoyed seeing the Colosseum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and tons of other historical sights and churches around the city! You can see my look and more of the Spanish Steps here.

Lightweight White

Tank: Lilly Pulitzer / Skirt: J. Crew / Scarf: J. McLaughlin {similar} / Flats: Sam Edelman

Our first day in Tuscany was spent in the town of Arezzo exploring their local antique market {the 1st Sunday of every month} which is full of unique finds from furniture to vintage designer bags. I couldn’t help but squeeze one more all white look in before Fall really hits and because mornings are cool in Tuscany, I layered my look with a light scarf. Lightweight white was a perfect choice since the market was completely outside and temps claimed into the 90s by mid afternoon. You can see other ways I’ve styled this laser cut midi skirt from J. Crew here and here.

The Perfect Peter Pan

ChicWish / Bottoms: J. Crew / Earrings: Mikimoto / Watch: MICHELE / Heels: Steve Madden / Lips: NARS & Stila

We are back from Italy and I can’t help but wish we were still in Tuscany sipping vino and spending more time with family. I’m catching up on life, editing our pictures today and I had to share my look from our last evening in Città di Castello because this Peter Pan collar is everything! I love the gold detailing on the collar and the sophisticated look it gives to a simple and classic top. This one is from ChicWish {you can find it here} and I’ve also linked other tops with great collars and details below. This top looks great with a skinny bottom and I love J. Crew’s Toothpick jean from Cone Denim® {one of the oldest denim mills in the world!} They’re super soft with the perfect amount of stretch that keeps it’s shape throughout the day and of course you can’t go wrong with the Stecy heel from Steve Madden!

Spanish Steps

Dress: J. Crew {similar} / Belt: J. Crew / Earrings: Mikimoto / Watch: MICHELE / Crossbody: Louis Vuitton / Flats: Chanel

Buongiorno! It’s a beautiful morning in Città di Castello and I’m sharing my look from our first day in Rome! We weren’t too affected by the nine hour time change, but we did wake up at 5am ready to go on our first morning. The lighting was perfect and the Spanish Steps {Scalinata di Trinità die Monti} were empty of tourists so of course we took advantage! I couldn’t help but remember Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday {my favorite movie} and the Steps were just as incredible in person as I had seen in pictures.

My luggage was lost as we arrived into Rome but luckily I packed a spare outfit in our carryon. This J. Crew dress is past season {similar here} but was perfect for the warm day and walking around the streets to explore. I love the lace in the dress and how it creates such a feminine look. I added a belt to my natural waist and looped it to give more detail. I purchased gorgeous Chanel flats before we left for our trip and although I was worried about wearing them all around the city {I didn’t want to ruin them!} they have been the most comfortable and durable shoes. If you’re looking for an investment piece or just want to treat yourself, you can’t go wrong with these flats. I choose a neutral so they would go with anything, transition into fall and am sure they won’t go out of style! Haooy lettura e arrivederci!
